Congleton Dane Probus Club held their monthly meeting at Lion & Swan Hotel on Monday 15th February 2016. Chairman Don Cole welcomed the members and the speaker Peter Turner. Number of visits being organised during coming months were reported. First of such visit is to JCB and the organiser David Heard updated on arrangements. The visit will take place on Thursday 3rd March. Social Lunch Group which meets  at “ Brown Low” reported a good turn out on Monday 8th February.

Trevor Adams is organising a trip to RAF Museum at Crosford on Wednesday 27th April and good turnout is expected. A multi-day trip is being organised by Don Cole to Bletchley Park and a visit to National Trust Property at Hughenden in the Chilterns. Annual Spring Lunch is on Thursday 17th March at The Vicarage in Holmes Chapel. Doug MacKenzie the organiser updated on lunch arrangements. Trevor Adams introduced the speaker Peter Turner, the magician, who entertained members with his tricks using a theme, “Science of Misdirection”.

Probus Clubs are local to towns and district and are made up of retired business and professional people. We meet once a month for regular meeting and listen to invited speaker followed by lunch at the hotel for those who wished to stay.
