Don thanked committee members for their conscientious work during the last twelve months. Successful trips were organised during the year to the RAF Museum at Cosford, to JCB and to Bletchley Park and the National Trust Property at Hughenden. The Snooker Group continues to enjoy their weekly game on Tuesdays at the Cygnet Club and a lunch group meets at the Brownlow Inn several times a year with members from Congleton & District Probus Club and everyone seems to have good time. The Spring Lunch was another successful event and the Autumn Lunch was at the Alexandra Court Hotel on Thursday 20th October 2016.
Paul Hibbert was elected as Chairman for 2016 /17 and was presented with the Chain of Office by outgoing Chairman Don Cole. Other committee members elected are Trevor Adams as Vice Chairman, Vaidy Iyer as Honorary Secretary and Mervin White as Honorary Treasurer. Denny Stevens, Bryan Booth and John Whitehurst are also members of the new committee.
