Our speaker on the 14th February will be Keith Stevens and his topic will be – ‘Covid – did we have to shoot ourselves in the foot?’
Keith started out as a graduate physicist working at the AEA on friction, wear and corrosion. He moved on to work on surface coatings and treatments in an engineering company reaching the role of Research Development Director and retiring after 16 years in 2011. Since when he has continued in consultancy and developed a portfolio of talks in which he presents a scientific view on a variety of issues of the day. Some members may remember a talk he gave a few years ago on which natural disaster will be the first to end the Anthropocene.
