The invited speaker at our next meeting on Monday, 12th June is Mike Tingle. Having entertained us not so long ago with his talk on the significance of the heraldic symbols displayed on the town centre flags and banners displayed for the Charter Anniversary, his talk this time, entitled Congleton Curios, will tell the stories behind the locations, buildings and architectural ornaments that we see around the town.
Mike is author of three Congleton Town Trails available from the Tourist Information Centre, and added an illustrated Heritage & Heraldry Trail for our 750th Charter Anniversary last year.
